My first steer project after moving to Papaw’s farm in Paris, TN.
Learning the Basics
Chip was my first steer project after moving to my Papaw’s farm. Working with him and learning more about cattle was a lot of fun, and he taught me the day-to-day basics: feeding him every morning and night, and working with him so he’d be ready for the show ring.
Everything I know now about wash days, halter-breaking, and reading a steer’s mood started with Chip. He was patient with me while I was still learning the ropes myself.
