Support Our 4-H Projects
Poppy and I are both showing steers this year, and your support goes straight into our projects. We also give a portion of what we raise to help send kids to 4-H Summer Camp who otherwise couldn’t afford to go. Everything else goes directly to our college funds.

This show is a 4-H event at heart. 4-H is a youth development program that helps kids like me learn by doing — through livestock projects, public speaking, leadership, and community service. It’s run through the UT Extension office here in Henry County, TN.
My 4-H club meets regularly throughout the year, and I’ve served as club President for multiple years.

How to Bid & What Your Support Means
If you’ve never bought at a 4-H livestock auction before, here’s the short version: buyers are the reason projects like mine are possible. Money from the sale goes straight toward my education and next year’s project, and every bid — whether you keep the meat, co-purchase, donate it, or resell it — genuinely makes a difference. You don’t have to be a rancher or a regular at the fair to bid. Here’s exactly how it works.
Bidding Options
In Person
Join us at the Henry County Fairgrounds for the sale on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 7:00 PM.
Call-In Bidding
To bid by phone, call Staci Foy at 731-642-2941 by August 20, 2026.

Purchase Options
Keep the Meat
Purchase the animal and keep the meat.
Co-Purchase
Co-purchase the animal to share the meat.
Donate
